Aston Villa have confirmed a soft opening of their highly-anticipated Warehouse Matchday Fanzone will take place this Sunday, ahead of the Premier League clash with Manchester United.
What to Expect at The Warehouse Fanzone
The club has announced that the former academy building, currently undergoing its transformation, will welcome a limited number of fans this weekend as part of a testing phase. The venue will open from 1.30pm on matchday and for around 90 minutes after the final whistle.
For this initial opening, the external plaza and food court will be operational, offering a range of food and drink. Pre-match entertainment will be provided by DJs including Nathan Dawe. Access is strictly for ticketed supporters on a first-come, first-served basis, with fans required to present their digital match or season ticket for entry.
A Multi-Use Venue for Villa Park
The Warehouse is the centrepiece of Villa's North Grounds regeneration plans, unveiled just over a year ago. Designed as a dynamic, year-round hub, its primary matchday role will be to become the Premier League's largest beer hall.
This vibrant space will allow fans to gather, enjoy a drink, and absorb the pre-match atmosphere, featuring state-of-the-art LED lighting and flat-screen TVs. Entry will be free for all ticket holders.
Future Plans and Capacity
Beyond matchdays, the Warehouse boasts a substantial capacity of 3,500 and is designed to be a versatile community asset. The space can be reconfigured to host live music concerts, other sporting events, and various community-focused activities.
This soft opening represents the first step in activating a major new facility aimed at significantly enhancing the experience for Aston Villa supporters and the local community.
