Cycling enthusiasts are being offered the chance to take on a formidable 311-mile challenge from the UK to France, all in aid of caring for seriously ill children. The iconic London to Paris bike ride will raise vital funds for Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children's hospices.
A Classic Route with a Grand Finale
Riders will set off from the capital before finishing on the world-famous Champs-Élysées, just days before the Tour de France arrives. Early bird tickets are available now for £99, giving participants ample time to prepare for the journey.
Voluntary worker Lee Eyes, 56, from Flintshire, has already signed up to tackle the long journey. He wanted to raise extra funds after seeing how hard hospice staff work to support local families every day.
Training and Support on the Road
The keen cyclist has completed 100-mile events in the past and is already busy training for the trip. He is attending gym spin classes every week and looks forward to riding alongside his friend.
Expert guides will support the group along the route, with all food, accommodation, and bike repairs included. Participants will also enjoy a special trip up the Eiffel Tower during their stay in the French capital.
Fundraising for a Vital Cause
Hope House Tŷ Gobaith fundraising manager, Andy Everley, said: "This is a classic ride that takes entrants through beautiful countryside and historically important sights."
"It’s fully guided by experts, with all accommodation and catering provided as well as a trip up the Eiffel Tower. Plus, we have the reassurance of a travelling cycle mechanic too."
"What a great way to start your next sporting summer whilst having the focus of raising funds to support local children across North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire who are living with a life-threatening condition."
