Ex-Strictly Pro Ola Jordan Accuses BBC of 'Pushing' Karen Carney to Win
Strictly: Ex-Pro Accuses BBC of 'Pushing' Karen Carney

A former Strictly Come Dancing professional has made explosive claims that the BBC is orchestrating the show's outcome in favour of one finalist.

Ola Jordan's Explosive Claims

Ola Jordan, who danced on the BBC show for nine series until 2015, has publicly stated she believes the broadcaster is favouring Solihull-born Karen Carney. Speaking to Mecca Bingo ahead of the final on Saturday, December 20, Jordan did not hold back her opinion.

"I think Karen and Carlos will win," Jordan predicted, placing George Clarke and Alexis in second and Amber Davies and Nikita in third. She elaborated, stating, "It feels as though the show and the BBC have been pushing towards Karen winning the show for the past few weeks, with a clear narrative around her journey."

Jordan questioned whether the contest had been pre-arranged, adding, "Has it been set up for her to reach the final? I think so. She wouldn’t be my personal pick for a finalist, but everything points towards her being there. The BBC, for whatever reason, seem keen to see her in that final."

The Betting Market's Dramatic Shift

The former pro's comments come as the betting markets show a stunning surge for the Birmingham-born sports star. According to Grosvenor Sport, Karen Carney is now the clear favourite with odds of 1/3 to lift the Glitterball Trophy.

Spokesperson Simon Kew highlighted the dramatic shift. "Karen Carney has surged to the head of the market," he said. "This is a dramatic shift from last week when she trailed George Clarke at 11/10. It’s an even more remarkable move when you consider she opened at 10/1 after week one."

The current odds place George Clarke at 15/8, while Amber Davies is the outsider at 50/1 following her appearance in the dance-off last week.

Personal Preference Versus Predicted Outcome

Despite her firm prediction that the BBC's alleged influence will secure victory for Carney and her professional partner Carlos Gu, Ola Jordan confessed her own personal favourite differs.

"Because of that, I’m convinced Karen will win – even though, personally, I’d love to see George and Alexis take the trophy," she admitted. This statement underscores the tension between her perception of the show's direction and her own wishes for the final result.

The claims are sure to add an extra layer of controversy to the live final, as viewers watch to see if Jordan's prediction and accusations prove accurate.
