The Costa Coffee cafe at Birmingham Bullring has been boarded up as renovation work begins on the prominent ground floor unit. The coffee chain has been a mainstay in the shopping centre for its entire 23 years, opening when the new Bullring did in 2003. Bullring has confirmed that Costa is not closing permanently but is undergoing a refresh.
New Cafe Vyve to Open in Bullring
Meanwhile, a new cafe called Vyve is set to open in the Bullring, specialising in coffee and matcha varieties. The new venue will occupy a kiosk space on the ground floor beside Batch'd cookie shop, bringing back acai bowls to replace the departed Oakberry.
Costa Grand Central Closure
Costa recently closed its Grand Central branch after ten years, with Black Sheep Coffee taking over the space. The Bullring Costa refresh is part of ongoing changes in the shopping centre's food and beverage offerings.
We'll bring you more from the Bullring as we get it.
