Three people were injured, with two rushed to a Birmingham hospital, following a two-car crash on a village road near Kidderminster. The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo and a Hyundai Bayon on Worcester Road in Harvington shortly after 11:30 AM on Sunday, May 31.
Emergency Response
West Midlands Ambulance Service dispatched nine crews and four ambulances to the scene. Medics treated two women with potentially serious injuries, including an 18-year-old passenger in the Polo. They were transported under emergency conditions to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Selly Oak, the region's major trauma centre.
A man also suffered potentially serious injuries and was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital in Worcester. A fourth person, a man, was assessed but discharged at the scene.
Police Appeal
West Mercia Police provided a slightly different account, stating four people were taken to hospital. According to police, the driver and passenger of the Hyundai, a man and woman in their 70s, sustained minor injuries and were taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The driver of the Polo, a man in his 20s, was taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital, while the 18-year-old female passenger was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.
