Aston Villa are reportedly considering a summer move for AC Milan winger Rafa Leao, according to Italian media. The 27-year-old Portuguese international is believed to be seeking a fresh start, while Milan are open to selling him for around €60 million.
Milan Willing to Negotiate
La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Milan's decision-makers would even consider offers of €50 million, as Leao's valuation has dropped significantly over the past 18 months. With only two years remaining on his contract, his value is unlikely to increase, and Milan appear aware of that.
Villa's Attacking Overhaul
Villa are targeting new attacking reinforcements as Morgan Rogers closes in on a £117 million move to Chelsea, a deal that would make him the most expensive British player in history. Leon Bailey is also expected to leave the club this summer, while Jadon Sancho's loan spell ended last season.
Paris Saint-Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye and West Ham United's Crysencio Summerville are among Villa's primary targets, but the reported interest in Leao is particularly intriguing.
Leao's Recent Form
Last season, Leao scored nine goals and registered three assists in 29 Serie A appearances for Milan. He also represented Portugal at this summer's World Cup, scoring once and providing one assist, though he started just one match, against Croatia in the round of 32.
