Williams Electrical (Cymru) has acquired a development plot at the Cross Hands East Strategic Employment Site for its new headquarters, an investment that will create 30 jobs and triple the company's existing office space.
The electrical services and renewable energy specialist, based in Cross Hands, is backing the expansion with £312,000 in Welsh Government funding provided through Business Wales.
Thirty new roles for electricians and apprentices
The project is set to create 24 new jobs over the next three years, followed by a further six positions in the subsequent two years. New roles will include qualified electricians and apprentices, more than doubling the company's current workforce.
Williams Electrical has seen steady growth in recent years, driven by demand for electrical contracting and renewable energy installations. The new headquarters will provide additional capacity to handle larger commercial projects, support future recruitment and deliver renewable energy solutions to clients across South Wales and beyond.
From two people and a van in 2015
Wayne Williams, director of Williams Electrical, said: "When we started Williams Electrical Contractors in 2015, it was just two people, one van and a vision to build a trusted business that creates opportunities locally. We're incredibly proud of how far we've come."

Strategic location on the A48
The Cross Hands East Strategic Employment Site is a joint venture development between the Welsh Government and Carmarthenshire County Council. It offers development plots for suitable employment uses, with easy access to the A48 road network, making it an attractive base for businesses serving South Wales and beyond.

The tripling of office space will enable Williams Electrical to take on larger projects, particularly in the renewable energy sector. The company specialises in systems such as solar photovoltaics and battery storage, which are increasingly in demand as businesses and households seek to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.
With 30 new positions planned, the expansion represents a major boost for employment in Carmarthenshire. The apprenticeship roles, in particular, will help train the next generation of electricians, addressing skills shortages in the trade.
