Cardiff-based law firm Hugh James has strengthened its London presence by acquiring Howat Avraam, a specialist firm focused on commercial litigation, shareholder disputes, corporate and employment matters. The deal, whose financial terms remain undisclosed, brings Howat Avraam partners Matthew Howat and Russell Osman into Hugh James’ City of London office at 1 King’s Arms Yard. Employment lawyer Niki Avraam and office manager Tara Maher will continue to work with the firm.

The acquisition adds significant depth to Hugh James’ disputes and corporate capabilities, supporting its ambition to build a full-service presence in London.
