Cardiff-based legal practice Lux Family Law has announced a significant expansion with the opening of a new office in London's prestigious Mayfair district. The move forms a central part of the firm's ambitious strategy to grow its annual revenues to £5 million by 2028.
Strategic Growth and Personal Milestone
Founded in 2018 by solicitor Charlotte Leyshon, the firm has already acted for more than 550 clients with its team of five solicitors. The decision to establish a base in the English capital was driven by a substantial existing client base in London and marks a personal return for Leyshon to the area where she began her career in family law.
"Opening our Mayfair office feels like the natural next step," Ms Leyshon stated. "With so many of our clients based in London, this allows us to support them more closely. Returning to the area where I first worked in family law makes this milestone even more significant."
Holistic Client Support: Beyond Legal Advice
In a distinctive move for the sector, Lux is enhancing its service across both its Cardiff and new London locations by integrating emotional support alongside legal representation. The firm has appointed experienced therapist Natalia Wolski to provide professional emotional support to clients navigating family legal matters.
"Family law is about people, not just paperwork," explained Ms Leyshon. "Natalia’s role means our clients can access professional emotional support at the same time as expert legal advice. It’s an important step in making sure they feel supported from every angle."
Community Commitment and Welsh Celebration
Aligning with its 2026 corporate social responsibility goals, Lux has become the season sponsor of the National Youth Choir of Wales. This partnership underscores the firm's commitment to supporting the arts and creating opportunities for young people across Wales, particularly those facing disadvantage.
Furthermore, to mark its London launch, the firm will sponsor and host a celebration of Welsh women lunch during Wales Week in London. The event, scheduled for February 25th at Julie’s restaurant in Notting Hill, will feature a Q&A with Francesca James, founder of Ideas Forums and a leading UK entrepreneurship voice. It aims to highlight the achievements of Welsh women in business, culture, and creative industries.
"Wales Week in London is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate Welsh talent," said Ms Leyshon. "To host this event at such an iconic venue and at such an exciting moment for Lux feels incredibly fitting."
