Octopus Energy Standout Announcement for 8 Million Customers

Octopus Energy has made a standout announcement that will benefit its 8 million customers across the UK. The energy supplier has once again outperformed the market, achieving exceptional customer satisfaction ratings in the latest nationwide survey conducted by Ofgem and Citizens Advice.

Outstanding Customer Satisfaction

The Customers' satisfaction with their supplier report reveals that 9 in 10 Octopus customers are satisfied or very satisfied overall (90%), significantly surpassing the Great Britain average of 81%. Octopus was the only supplier in the country to score significantly higher than the market average for overall customer satisfaction.

On customer service, Octopus achieved a record 86%, outpacing the national average of 77% and once again leading the market. Only 4% of Octopus customers reported being dissatisfied overall, and just 3% were dissatisfied with customer service – the lowest rates across all large energy companies.

CEO Statement

Greg Jackson, Founder and CEO of Octopus Energy Group, said: “Delivering exceptional service at scale is hard work, but our team proves it's possible month after month. By relentlessly investing in our technology and our people, we are making sure our customers continue to get the best-in-market care they deserve.”

Trust and Recognition

Alongside customer satisfaction, Octopus’s trust ratings are more than 50% higher than industry rivals, according to a YouGov survey conducted in March. The supplier has consistently maintained a 5-star Trustpilot rating and is the only energy firm to be a Which? Recommended Provider for nine consecutive years.

Recent surveys confirm that Octopus remains the most trusted name in the sector, attracting a diverse customer base from tech-adopters cutting bills with electric vehicles to older customers who value a company that answers the phone.

Octopus also excels internally, having been named one of the Sunday Times’ Best Places to Work and one of the Financial Times’ Best Place to Work in the UK.
