First Direct has announced an increase in the switching incentive for its current account, offering new customers £200 for a limited time. The bank is giving customers until July 15 to open an account and take advantage of the offer.
How to Qualify for the £200 Payment
To receive the £200, new customers must open a first direct current account by July 15. After opening, they have 45 days to meet the account criteria, which includes completing a full Current Account Switching Service (CASS) transfer. This involves moving everyday banking and switching at least two direct debits or standing orders from a participating provider.

Alongside the switching incentive, first direct customers can enjoy numerous perks. These include discounts and benefits, access to a 7% interest Regular Saver account, fee-free overseas transactions and ATM withdrawals, a £250 interest-free overdraft, and 24/7 customer service.
