Millions of Nationwide customers are set to receive a free £100 payment in June as part of the building society's Fairer Share scheme. The automatic payments will be deposited into eligible members' current accounts between June 10 and June 30, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, members must have a Nationwide current account and either a savings account with at least £100 in March or a Nationwide mortgage. The eligibility was checked on March 31, meaning new customers cannot join now to benefit.
Payment Dates
The first payments will arrive on June 10, but all eligible members will receive the £100 by June 30. Nationwide has confirmed that over 4 million members will receive the payment, marking the fourth consecutive year of the scheme.
Total Payout
Since 2023, Nationwide has paid out over £1.5 billion through the Fairer Share initiative. Chief executive Dame Debbie Crosbie stated that the building society's growth in mortgages, deposits, and current accounts enables them to continue the payments and offer a new Member Exclusive Bond.
