24 Stories: Birmingham's Highest Restaurant Relaunches with Brummie Flair
Birmingham's 24 Stories: Highest Restaurant Relaunch

Birmingham's skyline dining scene has been given a spectacular refresh with the celebrated relaunch of 24 Stories, formerly known as Orelle. The city's highest bar and restaurant, perched on the 24th floor of 103 Colmore Row, unveiled its new identity and locally-inspired menu at a star-studded event.

The celebrity launch, held on 13th November 2025, saw famous faces including Love Island's Liberty Poole and This Morning's Alison Hammond in attendance. These well-known personalities helped mark the official transformation of the acclaimed 'restaurant in the clouds'.

A New Chapter for Birmingham's Dining Scene

While the name has changed from Orelle to 24 Stories, the establishment continues to build upon its impressive reputation. The venue originally opened in October 2022 and quickly earned prestigious accolades, including being named Best Restaurant in Birmingham at the British Restaurant Awards 2025.

The refresh maintains the restaurant's most celebrated feature: those breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of Birmingham from the top of the skyscraper. The elegant decor and lavish atmosphere that made Orelle so popular remain unchanged, ensuring regular patrons will feel right at home.

Celebrating Birmingham Through Food and Drink

The most significant changes come in the form of a completely new menu that pays homage to Birmingham and the Black Country's rich culinary heritage. Executive chefs have developed dishes that tell the story of the region's food history.

Standout new creations include a Beef Croquette with hot sauce, drawing inspiration from The Bullring and the old HP Sauce factory. Seafood lovers can enjoy Day Boat Cod that honours Birmingham's historic fish market, while the Saddleback Pork Cutlet served with bacon cake and black pudding celebrates traditional Black Country dishes.

For dessert, the Bournville Chocolate Fondant provides a delicious nod to the world-famous Cadbury's factory, while the new Sticky Toffee Pudding with custard poured tableside references Digbeth's iconic Custard Factory.

The cocktail menu maintains its Brummie connections with favourites like the best-selling Rhubarb & Custard, featuring WildJac Gin from The Wyre Forest and honouring Digbeth's Custard Factory. The Victoria Spritz offers the team's interpretation of the classic Hugo spritz, named after neighbouring Victoria Square.

Familiar Favourites and National Expansion

For those who cherished Orelle's original offerings, several signature dishes remain on the menu. Patrons can still enjoy favourites including Tuna Tartare, Corn-fed chicken supreme and the Porterhouse sharing steak. The restaurant continues to serve beautifully presented tartlets with edible flowers and smoked salmon.

The rebranding positions 24 Stories as part of The Evolv Collection's growing 'Stories' brand portfolio nationwide. It now joins Manchester's 20 Stories and London's 14 Stories (formerly 14 Hills) as the third establishment in this premium restaurant family.

24 Stories continues to operate from its prestigious location on the 24th floor of 103 Colmore Row, Birmingham city centre, B3 3AG. For reservations and further information, visitors can call 0121 716 8186 or visit the restaurant's official website.
