Costa Coffee has confirmed plans to open 14 additional locations within Sainsbury's stores across the United Kingdom, accelerating their partnership expansion. This move is part of Sainsbury's broader restructuring strategy, which has seen the closure of 61 of its own cafes over the past three years, resulting in 3,000 job losses.
Now, Sainsbury's has teamed up with Costa Coffee to introduce new cafes, with 50 in-store sites already operational. This is in addition to the more than 1,000 Costa Express self-serve coffee machines already available in Sainsbury's locations nationwide.
