Owners Nick and Emma Woodhouse, who have run the pub for 11 years, have added an enchanting new dimension to the visitor experience. They collaborated with artisan candle and scent maker Samantha Harris from The Artibus Yard in Kenilworth to create a unique, bespoke fragrance for the pub.
The warm, earthy scent blends seasonal notes of cedar, fig and cardamom, designed to complement the age and character of the building and evoke memories of cosy afternoons by the fire.
"Samantha has created a deliciously scented haven," said Emma Woodhouse. "She absolutely nailed our brief." The signature scent is also available for patrons to purchase as a diffuser oil.
Picturesque Walks from the Village
Lowsonford is an excellent base for countryside strolls, with the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal providing a scenic backdrop. A popular option is a circular walk starting and ending at The Fleur De Lys.
This route is roughly eight miles long, taking in Holywell, Claverdon, and Preston Baggot. It features grassy footpaths, kissing gates, and canal bridges, though walkers should be mindful of roads and animals.
For a shorter, easier amble, you can simply enjoy a peaceful stroll up and down the picturesque canal towpath.

The village is easily accessible, making it a perfect day trip. It takes just 35 minutes to drive from Birmingham to Lowsonford via the M42. The village is also less than five miles from the charming town of Henley-in-Arden, allowing for a combined visit.
