Haven Holidays has announced plans to introduce JD Wetherspoon pubs to the majority of its 39 seaside holiday parks across the UK. The move follows successful collaborations at five existing locations, with the company’s CEO expressing ambitions to expand the concept further.
Expanding Partnership
The partnership between Haven and Wetherspoon began in 2025 with The Five Stones pub at Primrose Valley holiday park in Filey, North Yorkshire. Since then, additional pubs have opened at Cleethorpes (The Humber Stone), Rochester (The London Stone), Exmouth (The Red Rocks), and Haggerston (The Sir Thomas Haggerston). In early 2026, two more Wetherspoon venues were added: The Bluff Inn at Riviere Sands in Cornwall and The Alfred Wainwright at Lakeland Leisure Park in Cumbria.
CEO's Vision
Simon Palethorpe, CEO of Haven Holidays, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration. "I would like to see us growing this concept further across our estate," he said. "I definitely think there is an opportunity for the majority of our parks to have a Wetherspoons." Reflecting on the success, he added: "I could only have dreamed at that point that it would be this successful with our guests as it has been."
Celebrating Milestones
Palethorpe noted that the partnership has already served one million customers and expects that number to grow significantly. "We are here celebrating a million, but I expect it to be many millions in a couple of years time," he stated.
World Cup Viewing
Wetherspoon pubs across the country, including those at Haven parks, will be showing the World Cup, ensuring guests do not miss any matches. The pubs will offer a selection of international drinks, many from countries competing in the tournament. Food is served until 11pm, with deals such as three small plates for £15.
