Beloved television personality and singer Jane McDonald is embarking on a brand-new adventure for Channel 5, trading the sun-soaked coasts of the Caribbean and Australia for the heartland of American country music.

The new programme, titled Jane McDonald's Nashville, will be a two-part travel special scheduled for broadcast in 2026. Jane will act as the guide, curating her personal must-see list of the city's most iconic spots.
A show synopsis reveals her itinerary is packed with quintessential Nashville experiences. This includes the famous Jack Daniel's Distillery Tour, a visit to the 'Athens of the South' – the Parthenon replica and museum, and a tour of the city's historic homes.
Music, Charm and Southern Soul
True to its title, music will be the central theme of Jane's journey. The series will feature stops at legendary venues like the Bluebird Café and the Grand Ole Opry. Viewers can also expect a dose of local fun with one of the city's famous Pedal Tavern Tours and a taste of traditional Southern cuisine with a plate of 'Meat and Three'.

Channel 5's Commissioning Editor, Greg Barnett, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating: "Some 17.5 million people visited Nashville in 2025, and who better than Jane to experience all it has to offer and give us her take on why it's such a popular destination."
He added that with her love of music, Jane is the perfect guide to explore the sights, sounds, and stories behind the home of Country, promising a series full of "joy, discovery and plenty of sing-along moments".
Channel 5 has already begun building excitement on social media, sharing a photo of Jane dressed in a sparkly jacket and cowboy hat with the caption: "Yee-haw! Jane’s back, and this time she’s heading to Music City... Coming soon to 5."
