ITV has confirmed a major delay to the launch of the highly anticipated third series of Love Island All Stars, originally scheduled to begin on Monday, January 12, 2026. The decision was forced by raging wildfires in South Africa, which have shut down production and led to the evacuation of the show's team.
Production Halted Amid Safety Concerns
Over the weekend, a statement posted on the official Love Island Instagram account explained the situation. It confirmed that filming has been postponed following an assessment of the location site after the production evacuation. The statement emphasised that "health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first."
The transmission of the new series is now delayed until a date to be confirmed. ITV has not provided a further update since its initial announcement on January 10. The network's bosses have stressed that the postponement, while disappointing for fans, was a necessary step due to the ongoing wildfires.
What Will Air Instead?
With the opening episode of All Stars shelved, ITV2 will fill the prime-time slot tonight (January 12) with a repeat special. Love Island: A Decade of Love, the show's 10-year anniversary special, will air from 9pm until 10.35pm. This special was first broadcast in June 2025.
Thousands of devoted fans have expressed their disappointment online, with many describing themselves as "gutted" by the news. However, the overwhelming response has also been one of understanding, given the serious nature of the wildfires affecting the production area.
Meet the Confirmed All Stars Cast
Despite the delay, the line-up for the upcoming series has been revealed, featuring a mix of fan favourites from past seasons. The confirmed Love Island All Stars 2026 cast includes:
- Whitney Adebayo (Series 10)
