The Executive by Escape Lounges has opened at Manchester Airport Terminal 2, offering passengers what is believed to be the UK's first airport lounge carvery, live cooking stations, and made-to-order dishes. Priced from £57.99 per person for the buffet experience, the lounge aims to provide a 'more refined start to their journey' with chef-led dining, premium drinks, and Manchester-inspired spaces.
First-of-its-kind Carvery and Dining Options
The lounge features several dining areas: Leaf and Loaf for pastries and grazing, The Humm for lighter bites, The Loom with live cooking and a carvery, and The Boll offering restaurant-style seated dining with table service. Local suppliers include Chorlton Cheesemongers, Ground Effect Coffee Roasters, Manchester Gin, JW Lees Brewery, Martins Bakery, and Grandpa Greene's ice cream.
Sarah Marshall, General Manager at The Executive by Escape Lounges, said: "We wanted to create something genuinely different. The Executive has been designed to feel special from the moment guests arrive, with hospitality, food and thoughtful details at the centre of the experience." She added that dining plays a huge role in how people connect and relax before travel, and the lounge makes food and drink a defining part of the experience.
Facilities and Access
The lounge includes floor-to-ceiling runway views, unlimited fast private WiFi, charging ports, and bathrooms within the lounge. It showcases works from local artists and design elements from Manchester's industrial heritage. Passengers can access the lounge 2.5 hours before their scheduled departure, with a maximum stay of two hours. Those with airline invitations may enter up to three hours before departure.
