Rudy's Pizzeria Expands to Sutton Coldfield with Fourth Birmingham Outlet
Rudy's pizzeria has officially opened its doors in Sutton Coldfield, marking its fourth establishment in Birmingham and the fourth in the northern part of the city. The new restaurant is situated in a building that previously housed a Blockbuster video store and a Morrison's supermarket, bringing a fresh culinary destination to the area.
A Glimpse Inside the New Venue
Upon entering the former Built Unique Co gym premises, visitors are greeted by a transformed space that exudes a modern and inviting atmosphere. The venue features a mezzanine floor, a large main dining area, a front terrace, and a private dining section located behind the bar. The decor combines exposed brickwork and concrete with subtle lighting and wooden furniture, centered around a vibrant orange pizza oven that adds warmth to the setting.
The restaurant welcomed its first customers over the weekend, hosting friends and family events along with a charity night, with regular service commencing on Sunday, March 22. Hundreds of patrons have already sampled the offerings, eager to experience Rudy's in Sutton Coldfield instead of traveling to its other locations in Brindleyplace, Bennetts Hill, or Harborne.
Authentic Neapolitan Pizza at Its Core
Rudy's is renowned for its commitment to authentic Neapolitan pizza, being the largest organization globally accredited by the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. This international body is dedicated to protecting and promoting traditional Neapolitan pizza-making techniques. The pizzas are crafted using a holy trinity of premium ingredients: '00 Caputo flour with dough made fresh daily, San Marzano tomatoes sourced from the foothills of Mount Vesuvius, and Fior di Latte mozzarella, celebrated for its creamy texture.
The menu focuses exclusively on pizza, without pasta or other Italian main courses, but includes a selection of familiar sides such as garlic bread, olives, and burrata. For dessert, Italian classics like tiramisu, gelato, and panna cotta cheesecake are available to round off the meal.
