Telesgop Media Company Relocates to S4C's Yr Egin Creative Hub in Carmarthen

Multimedia production company Telesgop has officially relocated its headquarters to Canolfan S4C Yr Egin in Carmarthen. The move sees the company join a dynamic creative community at the hub, whose primary tenant is the Welsh language channel S4C. Yr Egin is also home to 11 other creative tenants, fostering a collaborative environment for media and arts enterprises.

Strategic Move to a Thriving Creative Center

Telesgop, which employs 20 staff members, has transitioned from its previous location at Bay Studios in Swansea to the 25,556 square foot Yr Egin building. This facility is now fully occupied, highlighting its popularity and success as a creative epicenter. The hub is owned by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) and is situated on its Carmarthen campus. It was partially funded through the Swansea Bay City Region’s City Deal, underscoring its significance in regional economic development.

Professor Elwen Evans KC, vice-chancellor of UWTSD, expressed enthusiasm about the relocation: "We are delighted to welcome Telesgop to Yr Egin. The company is highly respected in the industry and known to all of us for its quality output for radio and screen." She emphasized that Telesgop is joining a community built on collaboration and co-production, adding, "I have no doubt that Telesgop and its staff will be a great asset to that community and will make a valuable contribution to the University more broadly."
