Wetherspoon's Christmas Day Opening: Full West Midlands List

Pub giant JD Wetherspoon has announced a major Christmas opening schedule, with hundreds of its establishments set to welcome customers on Thursday, 25 December 2025. The popular chain has confirmed that a total of 683 branches across the United Kingdom will be open, offering a festive refuge for those not cooking at home.

Christmas Day Opening Hours and Menu Details

Almost all of the participating Wetherspoon pubs will operate on reduced hours from 11am until 3pm on Christmas Day. The sole exception is The Earl of Dalkeith in Kettering, which will open slightly earlier, from 10am to 2pm.

Patrons can expect to find the chain's standard menu available, as the special Christmas menu will not be served on the day itself. However, the festive menu, which includes options like sliced turkey breast with winter vegetables, the Big Cheese burger, and loaded festive fries, will be available in pubs until Wednesday, 31 December 2025.

A Festive Alternative for the Region

This large-scale opening represents a significant commitment from one of the UK's largest pub operators to provide a service on a day when most businesses are closed. It offers a reliable and familiar option for individuals, families, and community members across the West Midlands who may be seeking an alternative to a traditional home-cooked Christmas dinner or simply wish to enjoy the festive atmosphere in a public setting.

The decision underscores the evolving nature of how Christmas is celebrated, with increasing demand for hospitality options on the day itself. Customers are advised that, due to the shortened hours and likely popularity, venues may be busier than usual.
