The award-winning Yorkshire Wildlife Park has transferred the entire Great British Savings Scheme tax reduction directly to its visitors. The government has reduced VAT on visitor attraction admissions from 20% to 5% from June 25 until September 1.
CEO Confirms Full Discount Passed to Guests
CEO John Minion said: “This is very welcome news. Despite facing cash pressures ourselves, I can confirm that we are passing on the full VAT reduction to visitors. We hope this makes things easier for our guests and look forward to more families being able to create amazing summer memories at the park. There's always something great going on for families, and we expect this summer to be one of our busiest yet!”
Discount Applies to Tickets and More
The price reduction applies to all park entry tickets between June 25 and September 1. The discount will also apply to the Uproar! Playbarn admission, children's meals in the restaurants, and children's concert tickets. The national savings scheme also includes free bus travel for children aged five to 15 on local services in England throughout August.
Convenient Bus Service to the Park
Visitors travelling to the park can take advantage of the First Bus South Yorkshire 357 service. This bus operates directly from Doncaster Interchange to the front gates of the park and The Yorkshire Hive. The service runs every hour, seven days a week, providing a convenient transport option for families.
Conservation and Visitor Experience
The park puts conservation at the heart of all its activities and offers visitors a mesmerising walk-through experience. Guests can come almost face to face with some of the world's most beautiful and at-risk species, including polar bears and black rhinos. The resort also boasts The Hex Wildlife Hotel and its own shopping, dining, and entertainment village called The Yorkshire Hive.
