A man has been rushed to hospital after sustaining serious injuries at a Birmingham city centre bar. The incident occurred at the Henman and Cooper bar on Colmore Row, where the man fell a number of floors within the building.
Emergency Response
Police taped off the entrance to the venue, turning away curious punters. The bar features a rooftop area and a spiral staircase. At the height of the scene, at least eight emergency vehicles were present as paramedics and police secured the area. Workers held up material at the entrance to shield the public from distressing scenes.

He has been taken to hospital with serious injuries. We’re at the scene with emergency service colleagues as we seek to establish the full circumstances."

Witness Account
A woman drinking in a nearby bar said she was "overwhelmed" at how quickly emergency services arrived. She told BirminghamLive: "I heard pretty soon that a man had been hurt. It looked so serious. I just hope he’s going to be okay. You’d think he was just out enjoying himself so it’s a bit mad."
