Marvin Ducksch has opened the door to a Birmingham City exit after less than a year at St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park.
German striker Ducksch finished joint top scorer with 11 goals in his first season at Blues after joining from Werder Bremen, but he lost his place in the starting line-up towards the end of the campaign.
Ducksch's cause wasn't helped by a drink-driving conviction with the 32-year-old arrested hours after Blues' defeat to Ipswich Town on Easter Monday and subsequently charged by Warwickshire Police.
Manager Chris Davies utilised Jay Stansfield and August Priske as a pairing in the closing weeks and they will be afforded time to develop their partnership next season.
Ducksch has already been linked with a number of clubs and the expectation is that he will leave Blues.
The two-time Germany international has confirmed that he is in talks with other clubs during an appearance on German podcast At Broski – The Sports Show.
"I'm definitely in talks with several clubs, including some in the Bundesliga. But it's still relatively early," said Ducksch, via BILD.
Asked if he would like to return to the Bundesliga, Ducksch added: "I'm relatively open to that. But of course, if there's a club where I'm convinced by the whole concept, then I would definitely like to return to the Bundesliga or to Germany."
Ducksch has been linked with German clubs Augsburg and Hertha Berlin and reportedly has a €1 million release clause in his contract at Blues.
