LSL Acquires South Coast Estate Agency Franchise Meyers

LSL Property Services' estate agency division has completed a strategic acquisition of a prominent franchise operation based on England's picturesque South Coast. LSL Estate Agency Franchising has officially purchased Meyers Franchising Limited, which is headquartered in Dorchester and operates extensively across Dorset.

Expanding the Network with a Trusted Brand

The transaction, the financial details of which remain undisclosed, will integrate ten franchise partners and six physical branches into the LSL network. This acquisition is projected to be earnings accretive within the current year, bolstering LSL's financial performance.

Meyers Franchising was originally founded in 2011 by entrepreneur Mark Meyer, who started the business from his garage. Over the years, it evolved into a successful franchise model that primarily supports home-based agents by providing them with essential systems, tools, and a recognizable brand identity.

A Strong Regional Presence

LSL has highlighted that Meyers has cultivated a reputation as a trusted and leading sales agent across a significant portion of Dorset and the South Coast over the past fifteen years. Its operational coverage spans from Christchurch and Bournemouth, extending across to Weymouth and Poundbury, and further north to Sherborne and Shaftesbury.

By joining the LSL group, Meyers will gain access to substantial investment support, enhanced resources, robust infrastructure, and strategic expertise from the London Stock Exchange-listed parent company. LSL has specifically noted that its strong lettings capability presents a significant growth opportunity for the Meyers network.

Leadership Perspectives on the Deal

Mark Meyer, the founder of Meyers Estate Agents, expressed his pride in the company's achievements, stating, "I am incredibly proud of what we have built at Meyers over the years. Our success is down to the dedication of our franchise partners and their commitment to delivering outstanding service. As we look to the future, partnering with LSL Estate Agency Franchising provides the perfect opportunity to take all the Meyers partners to the next level, while staying true to our core values."

Paul Hardy, Managing Director of LSL Estate Agency Franchising, commented, "Meyers Estate Agents is a fantastic business with a strong reputation, a proven franchise model, and a highly engaged network of partners. We are delighted to welcome Mark and the Meyers team into the LSL family. With our investment and particular strength in lettings, we see significant opportunities to support Meyers in accelerating its growth and further strengthening its position across the South Coast."

Context of LSL's Recent Performance

This acquisition follows LSL's full-year results for 2025, which reported a rise in underlying operating profit to £32.6 million, up from £27.8 million the previous year. Group revenue increased by 8% to nearly £183 million, and a £12 million share buyback scheme was initiated in January 2026.

Chief Executive Adam Castleton remarked that it had been a strong year for the property services business, with improved profitability across all divisions, record margins, and robust cash generation. This success comes after a major reorganization in recent years, where LSL transitioned its estate agency network of over 180 branches to a franchise model, aligning with the strategy exemplified by the Meyers acquisition.
