Aldi has announced a significant expansion of its parcel locker services, confirming that 50 additional InPost Lockers will be installed across its UK store network this week. This move aims to provide more shoppers with a convenient way to send, collect, or return parcels while visiting their local Aldi supermarket.
Enhancing Customer Convenience
The ongoing rollout reflects Aldi's strategic focus on improving convenience for customers, offering a secure and easy-to-use parcel collection and drop-off service at store locations. Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, emphasised the company's commitment to making shopping at Aldi as convenient as possible.
He stated: "Reaching 600 InPost Lockers was an important milestone, and this next phase of the rollout further demonstrates our dedication to saving customers time by making everyday tasks easier to manage."
Growing Partnership with InPost
The UK's fourth-largest supermarket began rolling out InPost Lockers in 2023 and has since expanded the partnership, reaching 600 sites by the end of 2025. The addition of 50 more stores this week, in response to strong customer demand, will complete this latest phase of expansion.
Paul Selvey, Network Director at InPost, commented: "This continued rollout with Aldi reflects how quickly locker delivery is becoming a core part of everyday life in the UK. These new installations extend our nationwide network and make it easier for people to manage parcels alongside their regular shop."
Aldi's Broader Retail Offerings
Alongside the parcel locker expansion, Aldi has also introduced its first hot cross buns of the season, with prices starting from just 20p per bun. The supermarket's Easter range includes Specially Selected Luxury and Village Bakery Fruited Hot Cross Buns, as well as popular Chocolate Mini Eggs.
Aldi describes its Specially Selected Luxury Fruited Hot Cross Buns as "generously filled with succulent fruits and warming spices for a premium twist on a classic." This product launch coincides with the parcel locker rollout, highlighting Aldi's ongoing efforts to enhance both its grocery and service offerings for customers across the United Kingdom.
