Supermarket giant Aldi has introduced a strict new purchasing rule for one of its most sought-after festive products, as Brits rush to stock up for Christmas celebrations.

The retailer has officially enforced a four-bottle limit per customer on its Nicolas de Montbart Champagne, priced at just £9.99. The move comes in direct response to a massive surge in demand, with sales of the budget bubbly increasing by 76 per cent.
Aldi describes the drink as a popular tipple that combines Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier grapes, resulting in a subtle elegance. It is said to burst with bright fruit and delicate floral notes, making it an easy-drinking aperitif-style sparkling wine, perfect for Christmas toasts.

Beyond beverages, Aldi's famous festive 'Super Six' vegetable initiative returns on Wednesday, December 18. The promotion allows customers to pick up essential Christmas dinner vegetables for just 8p each.
