UK Households Can Earn £500 a Year Visiting Superdrug and Other Shops
Get paid £500 a year for visiting UK shops

Households across the United Kingdom have discovered a simple way to supplement their income, with reports indicating it's possible to earn up to £500 a year just by visiting high-street shops like Superdrug.

How Mystery Shopping Apps Work

This new income stream is powered by mobile applications that pay users to complete straightforward tasks in shops or during their daily commute. One of the leading platforms, Roamler, offers paid opportunities to mystery shop for well-known high-street brands and supermarkets, as well as to test new products on the shelves.

The app provides a daily list of available tasks, clearly stating how long each one should take and the potential earnings. Access to the app can vary; in some European locations, an invite code is required, while in others, you can register freely. The best way to check is to download the Roamler app and create a profile.

According to an analysis by The Sun newspaper, completing just a couple of tasks per week, with each paying around £4, could lead to earnings of £34.70 a month, which adds up to £416 a year.

Maximising Your Earnings Potential

Roamler advises users to browse the available task list and enable location services to see opportunities nearby. Allowing push notifications is also key to being alerted when new tasks are published in your area. The company notes that "things can go quickly at Roamler," so checking the app regularly is essential to avoid missing out.

Another prominent app in this space is Shepper, which also allows users to earn money through mystery shopping. If you were to carry out one task per week paying £7.50, you could earn approximately £32.50 a month, or £390 over a year.

Beyond Shopping: Earning from Surveys

For those who prefer not to visit shops, there are alternative ways to earn small amounts. Platforms like Ipsos reward customers for completing questionnaires and surveys, typically with vouchers.

By doing daily surveys on your phone, which pay an average of 60 points each, you could accumulate 1,800 points in a month. This is roughly equivalent to £18. Over the course of a full year, this consistent effort would result in 21,600 points or £216 in Amazon or PayPal vouchers.

When combined, the potential earnings from these various apps and survey sites can provide a significant and handy financial boost for UK families.
