Just in time for the festive rush, bakery giant Greggs has launched a brand-new shop in the Black Country town of Willenhall. The store, which opened its doors on Thursday, December 18, 2025, represents a significant upgrade for the local area.
A Bigger and Better Bakery Experience
The new Greggs branch is situated at Unit 14, The Square, having relocated from its previous, smaller premises at number 36 in the same shopping area. This move provides customers with a much more spacious retail environment. Despite the larger footprint, fans will be pleased to know the shop continues to stock all the classic favourites.
This includes the iconic Sausage Roll and Steak Bake, alongside a full range of vegan alternatives. Shop manager Matt Illingworth expressed his enthusiasm, stating the team is eager to welcome both loyal Greggs fans and new customers to experience the improved offering.
Festive Treats and a Christmas Bonus
With Christmas fast approaching, the new Willenhall store is fully stocked with seasonal specials. The menu features the returning Festive Bake and the Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition), as well as the popular Gingerbread Latte.
Greggs has also announced a special festive promotion running via its app. From now until December 29, anyone who orders a Festive Bake, Vegan Lattice (Festive Edition), or Sweet Mince Pie through the app will receive a free 500ml bottle of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, or Coke Zero Cherry. The free drink is automatically applied to the app and customers have 31 days to redeem it. This promotion is valid at the new Willenhall shop and nationwide.
Modern Convenience for the Community
Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, highlighted the company's excitement at welcoming customers to the "new and improved" location. She emphasised the goal of providing a modern and convenient place for people to enjoy their Greggs favourites, whether for takeaway, sitting in, or via the Click + Collect service.
The new store's opening hours are as follows:
- Monday – Friday: 6am – 7pm
- Saturday: 6:30am – 6:30pm
- Sunday: 7:30am – 5pm
The opening reinforces Greggs's ongoing investment in the Black Country region, offering residents a refreshed spot to grab a quick bite or a festive treat during the busy holiday season.
