Discount retail powerhouse Home Bargains has officially confirmed the precise locations for 18 brand-new stores set to open across the United Kingdom. The announcement comes as the company reports robust financial health and outlines ambitious plans for further growth, potentially expanding its estate to as many as 1,000 outlets.
Robust Growth Fuels Expansion Ambitions
The retailer, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, is riding a wave of significant success. Annual revenue surged by 7.6%, climbing from £4.2 billion to an impressive £4.5 billion. This strong financial performance provides a solid foundation for its aggressive store opening programme.
Company bosses have stated they "hope" to increase their total number of retail units to between 800 and 1,000 stores in the coming years. As of June 30, 2025, the chain already operated a formidable network of over 600 sites throughout Britain, making it one of the nation's most prominent discount retailers.

A Half-Century of Bargains
Founded in Liverpool exactly 50 years ago by Tom Morrison, the business originally traded under the name Home and Bargain before rebranding to Home Bargains in 1995. The retailer has built its reputation on selling a vast array of discounted goods, ranging from homeware, garden, and kitchen items to toiletries, toys, and a selection of food products like confectionery.
In a statement marking its anniversary and expansion plans, the brand expressed gratitude: “A huge thank you to our customers and suppliers for your continued support, and we’re proud of our teams and everything they’ve achieved together.”
With these 18 new locations confirmed and a clear target for future growth, Home Bargains is positioning itself for an even greater presence on the UK high street and in retail parks, promising more bargain opportunities for shoppers nationwide.
