Major Pet Retailer Jollyes Unveils Plans for 160 New UK Stores, Including Birmingham
National pet shop chain Jollyes Pets has officially confirmed its ambitious strategy to open 160 new stores across the United Kingdom, with Birmingham prominently featured as a key target location. This significant expansion initiative aims to enhance accessibility to high-quality pet care products and services for communities nationwide.
Targeted Locations Across the Midlands and Beyond
While Birmingham serves as a focal point, Jollyes is not limiting its growth to the second city alone. The company has identified numerous other major urban centers for potential store openings, including Liverpool, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leicester, Nottingham, Manchester, and areas within the M25 around London. This broad geographic approach underscores the brand's commitment to reaching a wide customer base.
In the Midlands specifically, Jollyes has outlined a comprehensive list of targeted locations, demonstrating a strong regional focus. The West Midlands locations include Birmingham, Bromsgrove, Coventry, Dudley, Evesham, Hereford, Oldbury, Redditch, Rugby, Solihull, Stoke, Sutton Coldfield, Tamworth, Wolverhampton, and Worcester. Meanwhile, the East Midlands targets encompass Boston, Corby, Derby, Grantham, Leicester, Loughborough, Mansfield, Market Harborough, Newark, Nottingham, Rushden, and Wellingborough.
Immediate Openings and Future Plans
Some communities will benefit from this expansion sooner rather than later. Jollyes has scheduled the opening of new stores in Lincoln on May 15, Kidderminster on May 29, and Yeovil on June 19. Additionally, the company plans to launch a new store in Derby in early summer, further solidifying its presence in the Midlands region.
Warren Bester, Property Director at Jollyes Pets, elaborated on the company's vision, stating, "We're on a mission to make high-quality pet care accessible to all, investing in range development alongside our commitment to low prices, as we deliver great value every day." He emphasized that wherever Jollyes opens a store, it aims to become the preferred choice for pet owners in the community, offering a combination of affordable prices and exceptional service from knowledgeable staff.
Bester added, "We're looking forward to bringing that special combination to as many places as we can over the next five years." This statement highlights the long-term nature of the expansion plan, which is set to unfold gradually across the UK, bringing new retail opportunities and enhanced pet care options to numerous towns and cities.
