Social Media Tip-Off Sparks Frenzy
The bargain hunt began when customer Athene Rose shared her discovery on the popular Facebook's Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on December 19, 2025. She posted a photo showing 6ft Normann Cut Christmas Trees priced at just £6.25 each.
This represents a staggering 75 per cent reduction from the original price of £25. In her post, Athene simply wrote: "Morrisons real Christmas trees reduced, lots left." She did not reveal the specific store location, prompting a nationwide search by bargain hunters.
Not an Isolated Deal: 80% Off Also Spotted
This isn't the first deep Christmas tree discount reported at the supermarket chain this season. On the same Facebook page, another savvy shopper, Catherine Pettigrew, flagged that her local Morrisons had reduced a 6ft Snowy Christmas Tree from £50 to just £10.
That's an incredible 80 per cent saving. Catherine shared a snap of the tree with a large yellow £10 label, urging others: "£50 down to £10 at Morrisons, don't walk run!!"
Shopper Reaction: Hope Meets Scepticism
The posts have generated significant excitement and a flurry of comments from Brits hoping to secure a last-minute festive bargain just days before December 25.
Many expressed desperate hope, with one person commenting: "Praying my Morrisons has one," and another exclaiming: "Omg I need this."
However, some commenters were more sceptical about their chances of finding the heavily discounted trees. "Bet there’s none in ours," said one doubtful shopper. Another warned of potential quality issues, adding: "Until you open them to put it up and discover they’re broken…. Twice."
