New Balance Takes Over Former AllSaints Unit at Bullring Birmingham
New Balance Replaces AllSaints at Bullring Birmingham

New Balance Confirmed as Successor to AllSaints at Bullring Birmingham

The Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham is undergoing a significant retail transformation, with a major brand change now officially revealed. New Balance has been confirmed as the replacement for the long-standing AllSaints store, which closed its doors back in February after an impressive 22-year tenure.

A New Era for the Prime Retail Unit

Signs have appeared in the windows of the unit, located on the Selfridges side near the main entrance to the shopping centre, clearly marking this new chapter. The space, which sits adjacent to the Coach store, has been covered with promotional hoarding, indicating that preparations are well underway for the New Balance opening.

This development comes just weeks after AllSaints relocated to a new unit on the upper level of the Bullring, making way for this sports brand takeover. New Balance, renowned for its popular trainers and activewear collections, is currently available through retailers like JD Sports, Sports Direct, and Size, but this will represent a significant standalone presence for the brand.

Part of a Broader Retail Refresh at Bullring

New Balance is not the only sports brand preparing to launch at the Bullring this year. Excitingly, LuluLemon is also scheduled to open this spring, taking over the former Arket unit in the outdoor section of the shopping centre. This dual expansion highlights a strategic shift towards activewear and sportswear in the retail mix.

Furthermore, this week has seen multiple announcements regarding new branches at the Bullring. Joe And The Juice has declared it will open where Soho Coffee previously operated, positioned opposite Sephora in the corner, just a couple of doors down from the Fuel Juice Bar. Notably, Fuel closed its Grand Central branch this week after more than a decade of service.

What This Means for Shoppers

The arrival of New Balance represents a substantial addition to the Bullring's retail offering, providing dedicated access to the brand's full range of products. For fans of the label, this standalone store will offer an enhanced shopping experience compared to the multi-brand outlets where their products are currently stocked.

These changes are part of a continuous evolution at both the Bullring and Grand Central, with further updates expected as more retail transformations are confirmed. The shift reflects broader trends in consumer preferences and the dynamic nature of Birmingham's retail landscape.
