Police seek teddy bear jumper man after £5,000 gold theft

West Midlands Police have released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft of £5,000 worth of gold jewellery from a store on Soho Road in Handsworth, Birmingham.

Details of the theft

The incident occurred at a jewellery shop on Soho Road, where a gold chain and bangle worth approximately £5,000 were stolen. The suspect was captured on CCTV wearing a distinctive black top featuring three teddy bears on the front. The bears are depicted wearing traditional knitted jumpers, with one bear wearing glasses. The top also has the number '7' above the left chest area.

The man is described as well-built, with short black hair shaved at the sides and stubble.

Police appeal

In a statement, a West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “Recognise this man? We want to speak to him after jewellery was stolen from a shop in Soho Road, Birmingham. A gold chain and bangle worth around five thousand pounds were taken.”
