Six New Bullring Stores Opened in 2025

Birmingham's Bullring shopping centre has undergone a significant transformation in 2025, with a flurry of new store openings designed to capture the crucial Christmas trade. The changes, spread across the main mall and Grand Central, underscore the centre's ongoing appeal to both major brands and unique independent retailers, cementing its reputation as the Midlands' premier retail destination.

A Wave of New Retailers

The pace of change at the Bullring has been rapid this year. A continued influx of new shops has refreshed the offering for visitors, with several openings timed perfectly for the festive shopping season. This strategic move ensures the centre remains competitive and exciting for consumers seeking the latest trends and products.

From Music Memorabilia to Mindful Gifting

The new arrivals cater to a diverse range of interests. On the top floor, Artist Vault has launched in the space previously occupied by an Oasis pop-up. This first-of-its-kind store sells official merchandise and collectibles for global music icons, offering fans exclusive apparel and prints.

Meanwhile, promoting wellness and clarity, Mindful Living Co opened as a mystical luxury gifting pop-up in the former Agha Noor unit. It stocks unique items like crystals, fragrance oils, and smudging wands not found elsewhere in the centre.

Major Brands and Festive Pop-Ups

Two notable fragrance brands have also set up shop. The popular US lifestyle brand Bath and Body Works opened its first permanent Bullring store on the middle floor on October 31, taking over part of a Next unit. Famous for candles and body care, it celebrated with free goodie bags for its first customers.

Just above it, a temporary Yankee Candle Christmas shop opened, offering discounted home fragrances and gifts in festive scents for seasonal shoppers.

Flagship Openings and Family Favourites

The most anticipated opening was arguably the Japanese clothing brand Uniqlo. Its new three-storey flagship store launched on October 16, replacing the former Zara unit near the Bull statue. It features exclusive Birmingham-themed clothing alongside its core ranges of essentials.

Finally, bringing a sense of fun, Miniso opened in the East Mall on October 10. Described as a dream shop for children, it sells a huge array of blind boxes, plushies, and collectibles, with plans to add beauty and food lines. It also rewarded early shoppers with free £25 goodie bags for a minimum spend.

This diverse mix of six new stores demonstrates the Bullring's successful strategy of blending high-profile international brands with unique, experiential retail concepts. The additions significantly enhance the centre's appeal and are likely to drive footfall throughout the festive period and beyond, solidifying its central role in Birmingham's retail landscape.
