Tesco Expands Easter Delivery with 120,000 Extra Slots from Tuesday

In a significant move for shoppers, Tesco is introducing a major change starting on Tuesday morning, February 24. The supermarket giant will release 120,000 additional delivery slots as Easter booking opens early, covering a six-week period through mid-April for the first time.

Priority Access for Plan Subscribers

Customers subscribed to Tesco's Anytime Delivery Saver or Click+Collect plans will gain exclusive early access to these slots beginning at 6am on February 24. This initiative aims to simplify planning for Easter celebrations and getaways, allowing customers to secure groceries delivered directly to holiday homes or collected from hundreds of Click+Collect locations nationwide.

Jillian Lidgate, Online Customer Director at Tesco, emphasized the convenience: "With 120,000 extra home delivery and Click+Collect slots available this Easter, we're making it easier for customers to plan their celebrations with great-quality products delivered direct to their door or Click+Collect location of their choice."

Wider Availability from March 3

For all other customers, including those with Off-Peak Delivery Saver plans, slots will open on March 3 at 6am. This staggered release ensures that loyal subscribers benefit first, while still providing ample opportunity for others to book.

The Anytime Delivery Saver subscription, starting from £6.99 per month for a 12-month term, offers early slot access and potential savings of up to £176 annually on delivery or collection fees. Meanwhile, the Click+Collect plan begins at just £2.49 per month for six months, granting priority access to Christmas and Easter slots.

Enhanced Convenience for Easter Planning

This expansion is particularly beneficial for customers in Birmingham and across the UK, facilitating everything from staycation essentials to hosting Easter Sunday lunches. By opening bookings a week earlier than usual, Tesco is responding to increased demand during the Easter school holidays, making it more convenient than ever to manage grocery needs.

The move underscores Tesco's commitment to improving online shopping experiences, especially during peak periods like Easter, when planning ahead is crucial for many households.
