Tesco has issued an urgent alert to its millions of Clubcard members, warning them that a significant amount of vouchers are about to become void.
Act Before the Deadline
The supermarket giant is urging customers to check their accounts, as Clubcard vouchers worth £16.5 million are set to expire. These vouchers, which are valid for a period of two years, must be used or exchanged before the clock strikes midnight on the evening of November 30th.
Shama Wilson, Tesco's Group Membership and Loyalty Director, emphasised the scale of what customers stand to lose. "The value of vouchers expiring is higher than usual this quarter," she stated.
How to Use Your Expiring Vouchers
Shoppers have a variety of options to ensure their vouchers don't go to waste. The most straightforward method is to use them directly towards the cost of a weekly grocery shop, to pay for fuel at Tesco filling stations, or for deals with Tesco Mobile.
However, the most lucrative option is often through the Clubcard Rewards scheme. Here, members can exchange their vouchers for double their value with over 100 reward partners. This season also features some exceptional new deals, including:
- Tesco Tuesdays with Cineworld: Get cinema tickets for Tuesday showings for just £5, which costs only £2.50 in Clubcard Vouchers.
- Triple value with PizzaExpress: A particularly standout offer where £10 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers can be redeemed for a £30 discount on food at the popular restaurant chain.
Don't Miss Out on Millions in Savings
Tesco has illustrated the potential collective power of these expiring vouchers. If all the £16.5 million in vouchers were used for the Tesco Tuesdays offer, it would be enough to secure a staggering 6.6 million cinema tickets at Cineworld.
Alternatively, if exchanged with the PizzaExpress promotion, they could unlock an incredible £49.5 million worth of reward codes for meals across the UK.
"We don’t want anyone to miss out on making the most of their Tesco Clubcard Vouchers," said Ms Wilson, encouraging customers to check the Tesco app immediately to see if they have any vouchers nearing their expiry date.
Clubcard points, which convert into these vouchers, are earned by shopping at Tesco stores and online, purchasing fuel, or by using Pod electric vehicle charging facilities at Tesco locations.
