Tesco is extending its Aldi Price Match scheme to 2,000 Express stores from today, bringing price-matched products to smaller convenience stores for the first time. The change comes into effect immediately, with shoppers now able to access the same low prices previously only available in larger Tesco stores.

Tesco first introduced its Aldi Price Match initiative in 2020, but it was initially limited to larger supermarkets. The expansion to Express stores marks a significant shift, allowing customers to benefit from competitive pricing on everyday essentials in local convenience outlets.

Products included in the scheme feature a range of staples, such as Tesco Cauliflower at £1.19, Tesco Penne Pasta Quills 500g for 69p, and Tesco Broccoli 375g at 82p. Other examples include Tesco Tuna Chunks in Spring Water 145g for 65p, Tesco Basmati Rice 1kg at £1.79, Tesco British Semi-Skimmed Milk 2 Pints for £1.20, and Tesco Iceberg Lettuce at 89p. Additionally, Tesco Loose Red Peppers are priced at 70p, and Tesco Red Kidney Beans in Water 400g cost 39p.
How the Scheme Works
More than 200 products will be available on Aldi Price Match in Tesco Express stores, though the range may vary depending on store size and location. Customers can easily identify price-matched items by looking for the distinctive Aldi Price Match logo displayed at the shelf edge.
