Supermarket giant Tesco has dramatically escalated the festive price war by announcing a complete Christmas dinner for six people, all for under £10. The bold move directly challenges rival retailers in the crucial run-up to Christmas Day.
The £9.55 Festive Feast Breakdown
The retailer has confirmed that its bargain festive meal will cost just £9.55 in total, working out at a mere £1.59 per person. The centrepiece of the deal is a small whole turkey, sufficient to serve six people, now priced at only £7.50.
This significant saving is possible because Tesco has halved the price of its small, medium, and large whole turkeys for Clubcard members, bringing them down to £2.50 per kilo. The offer is available from today, 19th December 2025, and will run while stocks last in the lead-up to Christmas.
Trimmings for Pennies
Beyond the turkey, customers can complete their roast with essential vegetables. Using Clubcard Prices, shoppers can pick up bags of potatoes, carrots, and parsnips for just 15p each. Sage and onion stuffing is available for 40p, and a tub of chicken gravy granules costs only 65p.
Ashwin Prasad, Tesco UK CEO, stated: "Christmas is a time when value really matters, and we’re committed to helping Tesco customers make the most of the festive season. With the traditional Christmas dinner at the heart of so many celebrations, being able to feed six people for under £10 with a Clubcard is something we know will make a real difference to families across the UK."
A Nationwide Supermarket Battle
Tesco's aggressive pricing is part of a wider Christmas price war gripping the UK grocery sector. The retailer confirmed this deal beats its own previous prices, but has warned customers they must act quickly as stock is limited.
The offer is available at the majority of large Tesco stores, exclusively for Clubcard holders. Prasad added that the move sits alongside thousands of other Clubcard deals, hundreds of items price-matched to discounter Aldi, and Low Everyday Prices on essentials.
Rivals including Aldi, Morrisons, Lidl, and Sainsbury's are also heavily involved in this year's festive battle, each promoting a host of seasonal deals to attract budget-conscious shoppers during the cost-of-living crisis.
