Aston Villa's transfer plans are taking shape as Unai Emery prepares for both Premier League and Champions League campaigns. The latest developments involve a confirmed exit from Feyenoord and a firm stance from West Ham United regarding their captain.
Agent Confirms Anis Hadj Moussa Will Leave Feyenoord
Anis Hadj Moussa's agent has confirmed the Algeria international winger will depart Feyenoord after the World Cup. The 24-year-old has been linked with Aston Villa and Newcastle United, with Sky Sports France reporting earlier this week that discussions are 'well under way'.
A report in Maghreb Foot now quotes the player's representative Mohamed Dahman as saying: 'Anis Hadj Moussa will play for another team, God willing.'
West Ham Stand Firm on Jarrod Bowen
West Ham insist captain Jarrod Bowen is not for sale, despite reports linking the winger with Aston Villa. Several Premier League clubs are reportedly keen on the former Hull City man, but the Hammers have no desire to sell him.
Sky Sports note that no fee has been quoted and highlight that Bowen took part in West Ham's kit launch this week, ahead of the new Championship season.
Villa Stalwarts Linked with Moves Away
Two of Villa's key players have been linked with exits. The Telegraph reports that Arsenal have 'tentative interest' in Ezri Konsa, while The Sun claims Ollie Watkins is a target for Fenerbahce. Both players are central to Unai Emery's plans—Watkins and Konsa have played more minutes under Emery than any other Villa player, and both rank among the top five most selected players in Emery's entire managerial career.
Watkins has been at Villa since September 2020, while Konsa arrived from Brentford in July 2019.
