Birmingham IT firm EBS grows with nine new hires

A long-established Birmingham IT consultancy is marking a significant period of expansion, having recently taken on nine new staff members and now looking to fill three more positions.

New Appointments Fuel Managed Services Growth

Electronic Business Systems (EBS), which has been operating in the city for 46 years, has bolstered its 35-strong team with a series of strategic hires. The new recruits have joined across several key departments, reflecting the company's broadening operations.

The recent intake includes two Technical Support staff, two Software Support specialists, and two Technical Apprentices. Furthermore, the firm has welcomed a Service Delivery Administrator, a Sales Executive, and a Technical Onsite Engineer.

Supporting the Local Business Community

This recruitment drive is designed to enhance the support provided to the over 200 businesses EBS serves across the West Midlands and beyond. The new roles will directly improve customer service, project delivery, and client communications.

The expansion is closely tied to the company's focus on growing its managed services and software support offerings. To sustain this momentum, EBS is actively recruiting for a Technical Manager and two further Technical Support positions.

The firm remains committed to developing early-career talent, continuing its investment in pathways like ICT Support Technician Level 3 apprenticeships.

A Decades-Long Commitment to Birmingham

Managing Director Sandy Gaggini expressed delight at the company's progress. "Seeing the team grow this year has been wonderful," Gaggini said. "We're delighted to be able to create new job opportunities in the local area, and to continue supporting the SMEs across the West Midlands that have grown alongside us."

Gaggini emphasised the company's deep local roots, stating, "EBS has been part of Birmingham's business community for more than four decades and that local foundation is a big part of who we are." Looking ahead, she added, "As we head into next year, we're excited to keep building on that success by strengthening our services and welcoming more customers seeking a trusted West Midlands partner for their IT needs."

Founded in 1979, EBS has evolved into a full-service IT support provider. Its services now encompass managed IT services, network infrastructure, Sage business management software, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity support for Midlands-based businesses.
