Birmingham City's top priority is securing a permanent deal for Colombian midfielder Jhon Solis. Davies is keen to bring Solis back to St Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, and the club is working behind the scenes. Blues have an option to buy Solis but can renegotiate the fee with Girona after their relegation from La Liga. Deal structures are crucial given Championship financial constraints. Solis enjoyed his time at St Andrew's, and Girona are willing sellers, so there is optimism the 21-year-old will return.
Liel Abada not a target
Charlotte FC winger Liel Abada has been linked with Blues, but BirminghamLive understands the 24-year-old Israel international is not on the club's radar. Blues have room for only one new wide player, and their preference is to bring back loanee Ibrahim Osman.
