Barratt Redrow Raises £6,000 for BrightPIP in Brighton 10K

A team from Barratt Redrow Southern Counties has raised more than £6,000 for Brighton-based charity BrightPIP after taking part in the Brighton & Hove 10K. Staff joined thousands of runners in the popular coastal race, helping to raise funds and awareness for families in Sussex who need support during pregnancy and early parenthood.

Supporting Families in Need

BrightPIP provides specialist support for parents and babies, including therapy and group sessions designed to strengthen the parent-infant relationship. The charity works with families facing a range of challenges, including poor mental health, poverty, and the impact of trauma. Funds raised from the event will help expand the charity’s services, enabling it to support more families and grow its team of health professionals.

Partnership for 2026

Barratt Redrow Southern Counties has partnered with BrightPIP as one of its charities of the year for 2026 and says the fundraising effort highlights the importance of supporting parents who may be struggling.

Quotes from Key Figures

Dr Laura Williams, clinical director at BrightPIP, commented: “Demand for services like ours are continuing to increase. We receive referrals from GPs, health visitors and midwives, as families are left without support. Many parents struggle in silence, facing challenges such as depression, sleep deprivation, feeling like their baby hates them, or they’re not a good enough parent. This can cause unbearable distress in both parent and baby, which can become very overwhelming without the right support. We are so grateful to the Barratt Redrow Southern Counties for the continued fundraising efforts this year and for taking part in the Brighton & Hove 10K.”

Sarah Hunt, personal assistant to the regional managing director for Barratt Redrow Southern Region, added: “We had a fantastic turnout of runners and supporters at the race. Knowing the funds our team raised will help provide crucial support to parents and babies across Sussex made every step worth it. The entire team was proud to be part of it.”
