A six-strong team from Tameside law firm Bromleys Solicitors raised funds for The Christie Charity when they pounded the streets in the AJ Bell Great Manchester 10k Run.
Managing partner Paul Westwell, solicitors Joe Diver and Chris Eaton, associate solicitor Hannah Williams, paralegal Oscar Southan and financial controller Sam Harris have so far raised more than £900, including Gift Aid donations.
The Christie Charity supports the work of The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in providing life-saving cancer treatment, pioneering research and additional care and services for patients and their families.
It is Bromleys’ chosen charity of the year, and staff at the firm are undertaking a variety of other activities to raise funds during 2026.
Paul said: “The Christie carries out incredible work, providing vital support to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by cancer.
“Many of us have seen first-hand how the exceptional care that people receive there makes a huge difference, and we all wanted to give something back.
“We’re immensely grateful to everyone who has contributed so far, and would be delighted to receive further donations for this great charity.”
He added: “Everyone ran the 10k really well and it was a great day, with several of the team achieving personal best times.
“More importantly, they reflected the commitment across the firm to support a cause that means so much to us all.
“One colleague who’d earlier run the Great Manchester half-marathon even came along to support the 10k team.
“There are a lot of keen participants in the Bromleys Thursday running club, and we’ve already seen a groundswell of entries for next year’s half-marathon on the back of the 10k team’s success.”
