Manchester Charity Supporter Organises Cheshire Three-Peak Challenge for Moya Cole Hospice
Chris Syddall, a dedicated supporter of numerous local charities across Manchester, is spearheading a three-peak challenge in Cheshire to benefit Moya Cole Hospice. This charitable endeavour will see Chris and fellow participants tackle three of Cheshire's highest peaks along a 13.6-mile (21.8km) route, including Tegg’s Nose, Shutlingsloe, and Shining Tor.
Scenic Route and Event Details
The walk is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 16, in the picturesque Macclesfield countryside. The chosen date aims to capitalise on favourable weather conditions. The route will encompass the scenic areas of Trentabank and Lamaload Reservoir, offering participants spectacular views from all three summits.
Chris selected Moya Cole Hospice as the beneficiary due to his personal connections with several individuals who received care at the facility. He expressed his motivation, stating, "We thought it would be nice to do something for Moya Cole Hospice, especially with the new building opening soon. So, if we do this walk and we raise a bit of money along with it, it will be fantastic."
Accessibility and Participation Guidelines
Chris emphasised that the challenge is achievable for most relatively fit individuals. However, he advised that participants under the age of 16 or those with existing health conditions should avoid the event. He added, "But even if you do a lot of walking, you’re relatively fit, then you shouldn’t have a problem."
