Festive Lights and Carols Bring Joy to Action for Children Families in Sandfields
Festive Fun for Families at Action for Children Event

Families supported by the charity Action for Children came together for a heartwarming evening of festive celebration at the organisation's Park House service in Sandfields.

A Magical Winter Wonderland Created

The event transformed the sensory garden at Park House into a dazzling spectacle with a beautiful light show designed especially for the children. The air was filled with the sound of classic Christmas carols, performed live by the talented Presto Mixed Choir, creating a truly magical atmosphere.

Guests enjoyed traditional seasonal treats, including mince pies and warm drinks, as they marvelled at the illuminations. The gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for families, staff, and supporters to connect and share in the joy of the season.

Community Generosity on Display

Adding significantly to the festive spirit, the Queen Bees community group attended the event and generously donated a large number of selection boxes for the children. This kind gesture ensured every young person had a sweet surprise to take home with them.

The celebration also saw the attendance of local councillors, who joined the festivities to show their support for the vital work Action for Children carries out within the community.

Spreading Joy and Togetherness

Sarah Jenkins, the registered manager at Park House, shared her thoughts on the special evening. "This evening was all about bringing people together and spreading joy," she said. "Seeing the smiles on the children's faces and the sense of community in the room was truly special."

She added, "We're so grateful to the Queen Bees for their generosity and to everyone who came along to make this such a memorable night."

The event successfully reinforced Action for Children's ongoing commitment to creating safe, happy, and supportive environments where children and young people can thrive.
