Homeless Charity Visits Scout Group in Countesthorpe

Representatives from the Leicester-based homeless charity, The Bridge Homelessness to Hope, recently paid a visit to the 109th Leicester (Countesthorpe) St Andrews Scout Group. The charity engaged with two Beaver Colonies groups, comprising children aged six to eight, to discuss homelessness, its meaning, and how people can assist those experiencing it.

Community Impact Badge Activities

As part of their work towards earning the Community Impact Badge, the Beavers participated in a series of activities designed to explore the challenges faced by homeless individuals. They also discussed practical ways to make a positive difference in their community. One of the young Beavers suggested collecting blankets for the charity, an idea that was enthusiastically embraced by the entire group.

The Beavers donated a fantastic collection of blankets, which were later delivered to The Bridge Homelessness to Hope's Hub for use by guests.
