A wonderful new boutique charity shop is opening in Ilkeston to help raise vital funds for lifesaving missions. The brand-new store will welcome its first customers on May 29. This exciting launch marks a special first for the charity, as the store will uniquely support both Your Local Air Ambulance and the National Children’s Air Ambulance.
Located beautifully on the River Erewash between Derby and Nottingham, the shop will provide a fantastic new shopping experience for the local community. Your Local Air Ambulance brings rapid emergency care to people across the region, having responded to 548 incidents in Derbyshire alone last year. Meanwhile, the National Children’s Air Ambulance works across England, Scotland, and Wales to safely transfer critically ill babies and children to the specialist care they need. Because the charity receives no funding from the government or National Lottery, it relies entirely on the generosity of local people to keep its helicopters flying.
