Keepmoat, a major homebuilder, has announced a partnership with the national food poverty charity Magic Breakfast to fund thousands of school meals for children across Liverpool. The initiative aims to raise more than £250,000 over three years to tackle child hunger and ensure pupils start their school day nourished and ready to learn.
How the Funds Will Be Raised
Money will be generated through a variety of fundraising activities across the country, including sponsored skydives, marathons, charity golf days, and gala balls. Keepmoat operates across ten regions, and staff in the North West are eager to see the direct benefits for local families.
The Scale of Child Hunger
According to Ian Hoad, CEO at Keepmoat, child hunger in the UK remains alarmingly high, with one in seven children at risk of starting their day too hungry to learn. The partnership with Magic Breakfast is part of the company's commitment to supporting communities and the families within them.
Charity's Campaign
Magic Breakfast is currently campaigning to ensure free, high-quality breakfasts are delivered in every primary school. The charity aims to protect children from starting the school day too hungry to learn, regardless of their circumstances.
